چکیده

Triggered pulsing in a multi-quantum well structure which shows s-type negative differential resistance (NDR) was investigated. First return maps of the inter-pulse time intervals (IPTI) show an interesting grouping pattern at slower pulse rates. Oscillations in the pulsing threshold level of the MQW device cause the grouping behavior. This pattern of IPTIs is similar to that of thermoreceptors in fish and mammals. Correlation integrals were calculated for IPTI data sets collected under different operational conditions, and correlation dimensions 8.0, 8.0, 8.5, and 10.0 were found for four different data sets. The calculated correlation dimensions indicate that the triggered pulsing shows a high dimensional behavior and that the correlation dimension increases as the pulse rate decreases. c © 2006 Elsevier B.V. Time-dependent analysis of carrier density and potential energy in spherical centered defect InGaAs/AlGaAs quantum dot (SCDQD)

Interaction and correlation effects in quantum dots play a fundamental role in defining both their equilibrium and transport properties. Numerical methods are commonly employed to study such systems. In this paper we investigate the numerical calculation of quantum transport of electrons in spherical centered defect InGaAs/AlGaAs quantum dot (SCDQD). The simulation is based on the imaginary time...

CoFe Layers Thickness and Annealing Effect on the Magnetic Behavior of the CoFe/Cu Multilayer Nanowires

CoFe/Cu multilayer nanowires were electrodeposited into anodic aluminum oxide templates prepared by a two-step mild anodization method, using the single-bath technique. Nanowires with 30 nm diameter and the definite lengths were obtained. The effect of CoFe layers thickness and annealing on the magnetic behavior of the multilayer nanowires was investigated. The layers thickness was controlled t...

Generation of High Efficient Quasi-Single-Cycle 3 and 6THZ ‎Pulses using Multilayer Structures OH1/SiO2 and ‎DSTMS/SiO2 ‎

We propose that high efficient terahertz (THz) multilayer structures are composed of ‎DSTMS/SiO2 and OH1/SiO2 at 3 and 6THz frequencies. We show that the efficiencies of these ‎structures are higher than DAST/SiO2 structure in both of 3 and 6THz frequencies. OH1/SiO2 ‎structure at 6THz has an efficiency as large as 10-1; at 3THz frequency, DSTMS/SiO2 structure ‎has an efficiency as large as 10-...

Inter-pulse Interval Affects the Size of Single-pulse TMS-induced Motor Evoked Potentials: a Reliability Study

Introduction: Measuring the size of motor evoked potentials (MEPs) induced by transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is an investigational technique to show the level of corticospinal excitability however, some of the fundamental methodological aspects of TMS (such as the effects of inter-pulse intervals (IPI) on MEP size) are not fully understood, this issue raises concerns about the re...
